The New York City Economic Development Corporation fosters business growth throughout New York City, providing everything from information on tax advantages to quality of life to proposals for city-funded projects. Consequently, the site is used by a wide range of visitors seeking information on any number of topics. The key challenge was to organize over 10,000 pages of content and make it easily accessible to key visitors.

The design solution overlays smart search tools and an intuitive navigation system on a clean, modern, modular look and feel. The resulting site is easily navigable, well organized and peppered with relevant, related information on virtually every page.

A compact, color-coded navigation surfaces content up to four levels deep. The color keys carry through all pages in each section, giving strong visual cues to help orient the user.

A useful "Help Me" tool gathers the most frequently performed tasks (identified by site visitor research) and groups them thematically, giving a persistent collection of topics accessible from every page of the site.

A dynamic mapping tool offers users in-depth information on NYCEDC projects, tax incentive and zoning info, locations of city parks and roads. Contextual links throughout the site lead visitors to the mapping tool.
